Welcome to my stop on the Operation Write Home Birthday Bash Blog Hop! Today I'm sharing two cards made with my all time favorite OWH stamp set, Year Round Sentiments.
I love the simple messages in this set. The "I love you" sentiment I used on the card below is probably one of the most used sentiments that I have.
The heart was stamped with Hero Arts Splash Chalk Ink and the sentiment with Pale Tomato Mid-Tone Shadow Ink. I clear embossed the Tiny Stars Background on kraft cardstock, which is a perfect complement to the stars in the heart image.
For my next card I used the small star image to create a diagonal pattern with some yummy Hero Arts Shadow Inks.
I added a glossy shine to a few of the stars using the Sakura Clear Glaze Gel Pen, which is perfect for small detailed images!
You can see all the Hero Arts/Operation Write Home stamps that are available HERE.
Now it's time to head on over to Paula's blog!
Thanks for stopping by!

Kelly, I absolutely love the star BD card. It's clean and simple, but jazzy with the sakura pen for detail. TFS.
love the colors of the first card. the star background is awesome. using the gel pen on the stars of the second card really made them pop.
Kelly!! How DID you get your cute stars to line up in such precise and accurate formation!! That pattern is great, you must be an awesome stamp sergeant!!! Way to go. I love the glaze. Thanks for sharing your cute cards!!

Awesome cards! I love the star background with the matching stars in the heart! What a fun addition the glaze gel pen is on your next card!
Beautiful cards, I love the touch of shine from the embossing and glaze! And I agree, the Year Round Sentiments set is one of the best ever! Thank you so much for participating in our hop today!
Pretty cards! I'm amazed at the star stamping. That's a lot of stamping!! Perfection!
All those stars - I'd have cried, trying to line them up as well as you did!
Both of these are over the top....STAR quality as it were. Beautiful!
You get a gold star for sharing your wonderful cards! I just love stars and you really made them shine on your projects! Thanks for supporting OWH!
Both cards are great, I love the heart in card one and the glazed stars on card two. I need to get me a glazing pen.
Awesome cards! Love your designs and the fab colors! Love how you used the hearts in the second card...great inspiration for this set!
Both cards are just beautiful, Kelly! Love the rainbow stars on the second card. Great mix of stamps on the first card.
Both of your cards are so fantastic. Love the layouts too and the cheery colors you used.
I use my Year Round Sentiments set all the time too! And both your cards are a treasure. Love seeing the sentiment layered over the heart - and the star-fest birthday card is sooooo cool!
You get a Gold Star for both of these cards!!! Very good use of layering and choice of colors.
Sweet cards.Thanks for sharing.
Great colors on both cards and I like the embossed stars on kraft on the first one.
Love the tiny stars background! It looks great embossed in gold.
I'm seeing stars! And they are lovely - both the embossed and the multicolored one.
Hey, I own all these products so I can make similar cards, Wahoo! Although, probably not as well as you did.
Both cards are gorgeous! Love Love Love the embossed on the craft! Beautiful!
100% in love with those stars---so amazing!!!
I like seeing a card that I could replicate relatively quickly. The first one fits the bill. Good sketch and great interpretation that resulted in a very versatile card. The 2nd one would be tougher for me, but it's very nice.
Wow, they're both wonderful, but in my new attempt to learn to embrace white space, if I can figure our how to line up my stars, I'm so going to try that 2nd design for my Any Hero cards! Thanks for the inspiration!
Love your cards! I really like how you did the stars. Thanks for sahring.
Spectacular cards! Love the colors and designs. In awe of how you stamped the stars on the second card!
Two great cards with lots and lots of stars. The Hero Splash chalk ink is my first chalk ink and I LOVE it, it's nice to see the other colors used as well. Every blog shows a new product and the Sakura gel pen is another one to try.
Thank you for sharing.

I really like your card, especially the extra shine on stars!
Both of your cards are beautiful. Goes to show you don't need a ton of embellishments to make a terrific card! TFS
How wonderful!! I see a scraplift coming on
The clear embossed tiny stars are marvelous and what a terrific color combo with the teal and red shade. I'm also amazed that I've never see a clear glaze pen! What a nice little bit of shine that adds. Thanks so much for joining in today and your support of OWH!
Awesome cards--beautifully done.
I am so impressed with your star stamping on the second card! No way I'd ever get that many stars so evenly spaced and straight diagonal rows. Thanks for taking so much time on the cards you donate to OWH
Really love all the stars ~Perfect for a Happy Birthday!
Cute cards - love all the stars.

Adorable cards! I like how you stamped the stars, very genuine:)and the colors of the first are as sweet as a cupcake, so fun to look at!
Both cards are adorable, but I really like how you used the star stamp at an angle on the second one. What a clever idea that makes great use of the white space. Thanks for the inspiration.
Loved your cards - great idea using the stars on an angle on the second card
Both cards are fantastic!!
All I can say is "OH, MY!"
