Operation Write Home: Birthday Bash 2013

Welcome to my stop on the Operation Write Home Birthday Bash Blog Hop! Today I'm sharing two cards made with my all time favorite OWH stamp set, Year Round Sentiments.

I love the simple messages in this set. The "I love you" sentiment I used on the card below is probably one of the most used sentiments that I have.

The heart was stamped with Hero Arts Splash Chalk Ink and the sentiment with Pale Tomato Mid-Tone Shadow Ink.  I clear embossed the Tiny Stars Background on kraft cardstock, which is a perfect complement to the stars in the heart image.

For my next card I used the small star image to create a diagonal pattern with some yummy Hero Arts Shadow Inks.

I added a glossy shine to a few of the stars using the Sakura Clear Glaze Gel Pen, which is perfect for small detailed images!

You can see all the Hero Arts/Operation Write Home stamps that are available HERE.

Now it's time to head on over to Paula's blog!

Thanks for stopping by!

I like seeing a card that I could replicate relatively quickly. The first one fits the bill. Good sketch and great interpretation that resulted in a very versatile card. The 2nd one would be tougher for me, but it's very nice.

JoAnn Ross said...

Wow, they're both wonderful, but in my new attempt to learn to embrace white space, if I can figure our how to line up my stars, I'm so going to try that 2nd design for my Any Hero cards! Thanks for the inspiration!

Two great cards with lots and lots of stars. The Hero Splash chalk ink is my first chalk ink and I LOVE it, it's nice to see the other colors used as well. Every blog shows a new product and the Sakura gel pen is another one to try.
Thank you for sharing.
