2013 Hero Arts Catalog Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to the 2013 Hero Arts Catalog Blog Hop! I'm so excited to be a part of this fun event showcasing some amazing stamps from the 2013 catalog.

For my card I used two new stamps. The first one is the awesome Looped Flower Pattern background -- which happens to be one of my top five favorites in the whole catalog! I white embossed the image onto watercolor paper and then used watercolor paints fill in some of the areas.

The other stamp I used is a sentiment from the Circles clear stamp set. This set has four birthday sentiments and a mix of eight different sized circles. I'm always on the hunt for a good birthday sentiment and I know this is one I will be turning to a lot.

So here's a look at the two new stamps I used...

Be sure to leave a comment to be entered to win a prize pack from Hero Arts! The winners will be randomly chosen from ALL of the blog hop comments received by midnight PST on Monday, December 17.

Your next stop on the hop is the amazing Ali Edwards!

BasicGrey Lucille Blog Hop

Welcome to the BasicGrey Lucille Blog Hop!  You should have arrived here from the blog of Marinette Lesne.

Like pieces of fabric sewn together with care, time-tested and much-loved, Lucille by BasicGrey proves that variety is the spice of life. Pull that old dress out of the trunk, dust it off, darn it up and grab your kitten heels, because it’s time to pattern your next project, perfectly.

For today's card I thought it would be fun to set aside my patterned papers and create a card entirely using stamps. The stamps in this collection are amazing -- I especially love the two cling background images! And how adorable is that sentiment to go along with the sewing images -- I will definitely be using that one time and time again.

Thank U

Hi there! The theme for the Paper Crafts November Gallery Challenge is decorative tape and here's the card I made...

I just folded strips of washi tape in half, trimmed the banner ends and then stitched them to my card. Super simple! :)

Today's card features the beautiful Lucille collection by BasicGrey.

The vintage buttons in this collection are just gorgeous! My normal tendency would be to hoard those babies, but I decided to go all out and put them front and center on my card.

All the stamps in the collection are great, too! In fact, I used all three clear stamp sets on this one card--they are so easy to mix & match.

BasicGrey Serenade Blog Hop

Welcome to the BasicGrey Serenade Blog Hop!  You should have arrived here from the BasicGrey blog.

The Serenade Collection captures the refinement of bygone years, where tea was served with crumpets and your dinner guests retired to the parlor for sparkling conversation. Full of refined grace and delicate simplicity, you’ll love adorning your projects with Serenade’s layers of petticoats, bustled tea gowns and prim parasols.

The focal point on my card is a gorgeous floral sticker from the Element Stickers sheet that nearly covered the entire front of the card. The sentiment was created on a strip of vellum -- first I white embossed the word "beautiful" from the Beautiful stamp set and then added in some Alphabet Stickers to complete the sentiment. I love mixing products to create my own sentiments -- it adds such a unique touch!

BasicGrey Aspen Frost: Peace & Joy

Hello! This card was created using the BasicGrey Aspen Frost collection.

The garlands are quickly becoming one of my favorite embellishments lately. On my card here I let it hang off the edge of the kraft piece a bit and them popped up that panel to add some dimension.

Paper Crafts World Card Making Day Blog Hop

Welcome to the Paper Crafts World Card Making Day Blog Hop! As one of the winners from the 2011 WCMD contest, I was invited to participate in today's hop along with 15 other talented ladies.

Here's a look at my winning card last year....

For my card today I took inspiration directly from the card above -- the color combo, trees, twine, banner greeting -- it all inspired me to make this card.

That awesome chevron pattern on the bottom was created using this new Hero Arts Snowflakes and Edges stamp -- I love it embossed it white!

The "merry" portion of the sentiment is die cut from the Memory Box Parker Alphabet die and the "christmas to you" is stamped from this set.

Your next stop on the hop is Alyssa Scritchfield!

Have a great day!

BasicGrey Aspen Frost Blog Hop

Welcome to the BasicGrey Aspen Frost Blog Hop!  You should have arrived here from the blog of Kim Jeffress.

Charming and familiar, wild and sweet, a juxtaposition of Christmas past and present, Aspen Frost by BasicGrey holds all the joy and tradition of a homespun holiday. In neutral birch, iced cranberry, red hot cinnamon, dazzling white, glacier blue and green apple, Aspen Frost is the comfort and blessing of yummy pies, sparkling drinks and a warm flame burning in the hearth.

The colors in this collection are my favorite for the holidays -- some traditional red and green with some light aqua blue mixed in. The stamp sets to go along with this collection are awesome and I couldn't wait to ink them up! The "merry frame" is great for many types of projects -- a journaling spot on a layout, a tag for a gift or use it on your holiday cards like I did here.
