Paper Crafts World Card Making Day Blog Hop

Welcome to the Paper Crafts World Card Making Day Blog Hop! As one of the winners from the 2011 WCMD contest, I was invited to participate in today's hop along with 15 other talented ladies.

Here's a look at my winning card last year....

For my card today I took inspiration directly from the card above -- the color combo, trees, twine, banner greeting -- it all inspired me to make this card.

That awesome chevron pattern on the bottom was created using this new Hero Arts Snowflakes and Edges stamp -- I love it embossed it white!

The "merry" portion of the sentiment is die cut from the Memory Box Parker Alphabet die and the "christmas to you" is stamped from this set.

Your next stop on the hop is Alyssa Scritchfield!

Have a great day!

Great card, Kelly! That is a fantastic background stamp. I first thought it was designer paper. Better to have a stamp and so much versatility.

Great choice of colors. Using green and red all the time gets tiresom - even though they are supposed to be

I could see right off that you'd used last year's winner for your inspiration this year. Why not? You shouldn't mess too much with a winner. This year's card is equally wonderful. It's got just the right balance of color and texture and embellishment. Nice work, Kelly!
