Today's card is pretty simple. I let the stamped image be the focus of the card and just added some decorative borders to the bottom edge. I wanted to add my own sentiment to the card, rather than use the "hello" that comes on the flower stamp. (If you don't know what I'm talking about, check out the stamp here.) So I just covered it up with a piece of lace and added my own bolder sentiment above it.
{Stamps: Hero Arts Hello Flower, Hero Arts Say It All}
That cute pom border was created by using the thin strip that is leftover after die-cutting with this Notebook Edge Die. I save so many little scraps of paper and I finally put one to good use! :) I also added some Antique Linen Distress Stickles to the center of the flower for some shine.
Thanks for stopping by and for all your sweet comments! I'll be back tomorrow with another card (and maybe another giveaway, too!).

Love your idea of using the negative part of your punch!!! Beautiful card, Kelly!
Lovely card, Kelly! You make the stamp much more versatile when you cover the
sentiment and add you own.
so so pretty...love this lace ribbon and how you used this stamp...fabulous..
What a beautiful, delicate card!
This card is really, really pretty!! Love the colors and also especially the edge, made with the notebook die! I always use it the other way around, but this is a fab idea!!

This is gorgeous!
Love that stamp and love how you used it! Beautiful card Kelly!
Oh! I REALLY love what you did here! So beautiful! I used this same stamp on a card and the result was too light. Perhaps I didn't use the correct ink, so I'll give it another try.
Love that pop of yellow!
Wow, this is beautiful! Love the little glitter touch on the center of the flower!

What a lovely little card. I totally thought they were "real" pom-poms along the bottom. Must remember to keep these negative cuts more often. Love the soft nature of the treatment you've applied to this stamp. xx
so pretty, kelly! i'll start saving my border punch scraps, too.
it really looks like mini pom poms! great card!
So stunning Kelly. I wasn't sure if I wanted this stamp but seeing it used so incredibly well makes me want it very much! :)
Love the stamping and elements in this one!! Gorgeous!
Love that stamp and how you colored it, it looks like a piece of art! I like your idea of using the border punch leftovers, very clever!
Kelly, thisis just lovely...I love how ou added your own sentiment instead and used the left-overs from the notebook punch...clever!
I love the "Thanks" you used, and that great scrap border at the bottom! Lovely card! The crochet trim gives it a nice finishing touch also!

Love what you did with this stamp! Beautiful! The stickles are the perfect touch!
Love how you used the excess from that die cut, it looks so neat! Such a pretty card!
Very pretty. I thought that pom border looked familiar.
Beautiful card! Love the idea of covering up the sentiment with ribbon/lace and then stamping your own sentiment about it.
A beautiful card.
Ingenious! I will never look at my die cutpunch negatives the same way again. :)

Your card is beautiful! I never would have guessed that you added your own sentiment.
So pretty! Love the background.
I love this stamp! I had not noticed it before. And I love that you cover the Hello with the ribbon to add the "Thanks"... more mileage for the stamp!

I like your pom-pom border so much! Thanks for sharing and I bookmarked this post for future reference!
This card is absolutely stunning! Great job.
This is a really pretty card!
What a great idea ... using the strip leftover from the die. I tend to save every scrap and try to use it later, so I love these tips. Thanks!
Beautiful and how clever to use the "leftover" part from the note paper punch :o)
I love how you used the left overs from your die. Very clever. Thanks.
Oh, what a BEAUTIFUL card this is! I love the soft color palette and your border is gorgeous! Love the sparkle you achieved with the stickles, too!
Thanks so much for a chance to win this stamp set!!!
So nice to see 'thinking outside the box'; great idea for the pom-pom trim!
Did you stamp this on fabric? I was wondering about the wavy edge. Did you stamp the image and enhance with something else or is the stamp just that good? Thanks so much.
Wow, this is gorgeous. Not sure how I've been away from the stamping world for a year now, but it's nice to get some good peeks like today! Always love your work, Kelly! Love the "pom pom" border, it's very convincing!
