Hi! Today I've got a couple cards to share that are made with the Hey Girl collection from BasicGrey.
I adore the patterns in this 6x6 paper pad and included a bunch of them on this card...

The woven labels are one of my favorite items from this collection and so I had to use one on my next card, too!

Congrats Tracey!!!

And next I wanted to share another card I created with the SSS March Card Kit.

I used lots of adorable Lawn Fawn stickers and patterned papers here. And that flower background was made using one of the cute flowers from the Flower Friend stamp set.

Unfortunately, the March kit is sold out, but you can still get many of awesome elements that are in the kit over at Simon Says Stamp.

Have a great day!

Simon Says Stamp March 2013 Card Kit Blog Hop

I'm definitely ready for some spring weather. How about you? This month’s card kit, Friendship Flowers is the perfect kit to get you in the mood for flowers blooming and Springtime weather.  I was so excited to get a chance to play with this month's kit and be part of this blog hop!

Some of my favorites in the kit include the Flower Friend stamp set, the white woodgrain paper and the yellow striped washi tape -- so I decided to combine them all on one card!

The flower building images and sentiments in the stamp set are amazing! It was fun and easy to create my own little flower garden in whatever colors I wanted. I used Hero Arts Soft Cantaloupe, Pale Tomato and Butter Bar inks for the flowers. And each flower is topped off with some Star Dust Stickles in the center.

And now to the giveaway!  Leave a comment on this blog post and one lucky winner from my blog will receive a $50 E-Card to shop at Simon Says Stamp.  A random winner will be drawn on Saturday, March 9th at 9:00 AM EST, so be sure to leave your comment by then.

The next stop in the Simon Says Stamp March 2013 Card Kit Blog Hop is the sweet and talented Sarah Moerman.

If while hopping, you encounter a broken link, you can go back to the beginning for links to everyone who is participating in the hop.

hello

Today I'm over on the Hero Arts blog sharing a sparkly tri-fold card. And since I had so much fun creating that card, I made another one with some leftover supplies lying around.

I'm really loving the gold and navy color combo and that hello bubble stamp is just too cute!

Happy Monday!

thank you for being you

Hi there!

Today I've been having some fun playing with watercolors and I used a fun technique I learned in the Clean + Simple 2 Online Card Class.

To create the background I started by embossing the Hero Arts Looped Flower image on watercolor paper. Then I added shades of blue and green watercolor paints and then before it dried I sprinkled it with salt!  That's how I got that awesome speckled texture!

Since I wanted the background to be the focus of the card, I just added a greeting from the Hero Arts Remember Your Kindness stamp set, a felt heart and a Martha Stewart doily.

(Thanks to Kristina for sharing this fun technique!)
