May Caardvarks Challenge

Hi there!  It's time for another challenge at Caardvarks!  This  month, Tiffany Doodles is the sponsor and Heidi Van Laar has created some fun sketches for us to use.

Here's one of my cards I made that use some of the adorable DoodleBlooms images.  I colored them in Photoshop and then printed on some text paper.

Be sure to check out all the amazing cards made by the Caardvarks Crew in the Caardvarks Flickr Gallery.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great one! :)

Happy Monday!

Hi there!  What a gorgeous Monday!  Even though I've got a ton of stuff to get done inside, I just could help but get out for a little while today.  We played in the sand, rode bikes and went to Library... now 2 of the 3 kiddos are sleeping peacefully. :)

I'm so excited to be hosting the Hero Arts Blog this week.  All of the cards I'll be sharing this week use punches in some fun ways.  There is also a new contest theme up for May....check it out here.

Since I'm focusing on punches this week, I thought I'd share a few of my favorites with you.  I just LOVE EK Success punches.  They have great designs and seem to punch though thicker paper than other punches I have.

• Corner Chomper (I have Jennifer to thank for this one...she's such a good enabler) ;)

This list could go on and on, but those are some of my favorites right now.

And since it just doesn't feel right to post without sharing a card...here is one that I created a while back.  The sentiment is from this must have set from Hero Arts.  And the border punch used is another one of my favs (it's this one...and is a great price too).

I'll be back on Wednesday with a new challenge at Caardvarks.
Have a great day!

I'm Still Here...

Hi everyone!  Wow...it's been a long time since I've posted.  Seems like whenever I sit down at the computer, I'd rather spend my time reading other people's blogs, than writing on my own.  You all seem to have way more interesting things to talk about/share than I do. ;)

I have a couple cards to share with you that I created a while back and finally got around to taking pics of them.  This first one is a baby thank you I made...wanted to keep it pretty simple and easy to mass-produce since I made several of these.  Lots of Hero Arts goodies here...including the Raindrop Background stamp which is one of my all time favorite stamps.  I think I could use it on every card I make. :)

And this next card I created for a challenge a while back at Embellish Magazine and never got it submitted in time. More Hero stamps here too...including this great set.

I'm the host at the Hero Arts Blog next week, so I've been busy creating some fun stuff...can't wait to share it with you!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!  And thanks so much for visiting...I'll try to make my posts a little more frequent from now on. ;)

Blog Hop & New Challenge

Happy Monday everyone! Today I have a couple fun things to share with you. First, there is a new challenge up at Caardvarks. It is sponsored by Clear & Simple Stamps and the theme is to create a baby card. The Clear & Simple April Stamp of the Month set is Rock-A-Bye, which has some adorable images and a ton of words to build your own sentiments. In addition to the new challenge, the Caardvarks Design Team is participating in a Blog Hop along with the Clear & Simple Stamps Designers. Here's a card I created using the Rock-A-Bye Stamp set along with the Clear & Simple Green with Envy buttons, cardstock and ink. Here's a list of all the stops along the hop.... And when you are done be sure to return to Caardvarks to leave a comment that you've completed the hop http://caardvarks.blogspot.com. The challenge card winner, along with three random blog hop winners will receive a $25 gift card to Clear & Simple Stamps. Hope you have fun on the hop and find lots of inspiring ideas! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Kelly

Poppy Seed Challenge #2

Hi there! It's been a couple weeks since I sat down in my craft room to make a card, but I had all three kiddos napping at the same time today, so I got a chance to play around a bit. I made this card for Lisa Johnson's Poppy Seed Challenge #2. This is probably my favorite color combo to work with, so the card actually came together pretty fast. And see those triangular shaped Papertrey buttons I used for the petals?...I have a bunch of these and have never quite found the right use for them. But I think I have now. ;) Thanks for stopping by...I always appreciate all your sweet comments. Have a great day! Kelly
