Poppy Seed Challenge #1

Hi everyone! Today I have a card to share with you that I created for Lisa Johnson's Poppy Seed Challenge #1. I'm a big fan of Lisa's work, so I'm excited that she's started a challenge. She's got such a clean and crisp style that I am drawn to. Here's the theme of this week's challenge... And here's my card... I love all the yellow I'm seeing out there lately...both in the crafty world as well as in home decor and fashion. Only 6 more days until baby #3 arrives in our family...and I am definitely ready! Get out your ribbons!

I am so excited to be hosting the Hero Arts Blog this week! Three other members of the Hero Arts Designer Team, along with myself, will be showing you creative ways to use ribbons on your projects. Be sure to check it out for lots of fun and inspiration (and a GIVEAWAY everyday)! Here's a card I made featuring a flower created from some twill ribbon. First, I stamped a polka dot background on the ribbon with some brown ink. Then I hand-sewed a running stitch along one edge of the ribbon. Next, pull the end of the thread until the ribbon gathers and tie it off with a knot. It's really simple once you try it!
