Hello and welcome to my stop on the WCMD Winners Blog Hop! If you arrived here from Kelley Eubank's blog, you are in the right place. If you want to start at the beginning of the hop go to the Paper Crafts Blog.
Last year Paper Crafts magazine held it's annual World Card Making Day contest and I was lucky enough to be selected as one of the winners. So today all 20 winners are participating in a blog hop to celebrate! And there are lots of giveaways along the way too...we were given a very generous prize package and wanted to share some of it with all of you. :)
Here's a picture of my winning card in the magazine...
My favorite thing about this card is the twine border, so I decided to create a card to share today that features using twine in a fun way. And it also features my all-time favorite color combo of green and blue. :)
I started out by freehand stiching a "U" on a kraft tag using some twine. Then I white embossed the word "thank" from the Hero Arts Essential Messages stamp set. To create the zig zag pattern I cut a bunch of 1" squares and then cut them in half diagonally to form triangles. Then just assemble them in a zig zag pattern...so simple!
And what's a celebration without a little giveaway! One winner will receive a copy of the Paper Crafts March/April 2012 issue, the American Crafts Party Animal stamp set, and two American Crafts Pigment Inks.
Just leave a comment on this post by Monday, February 20th at Midnight. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, February 22nd. (International readers welcome!)
Your next stop on the hop is the talented Laurie Willison.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
