Welcome, Lila Grace
Two weeks ago, my sweet friend Jennifer McGuire welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Lila Grace, into this world. So group of Jennifer's friends decided to have a card shower to celebrate and here's my card...
Huge congrats to Jennifer and her family -- I am SO happy for all of you! xoxo
The card shower is being hosted at Jana's blog, so you can see all the cards in one place -- and you can even join in the fun and add your own card!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Best Wishes
Hi there! (Sorry for the month-long absence!) I've been making cards, but they always have to go out in the mail before I get a chance to photo them.
But did I managed to snag a photo of these two -- they were for a couple of teachers at my daugher's school that are retiring this year.
(I have to give credit to my sister, Tami, for the design of this card. It is greatly inspired by the beautiful Mother's Day card she gave our mom this year. Thanks, Tami!)
All stamps are Hero Arts.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend! :)

A Blog Named Hero: Challenge #2
Hello! Just popping in to share a card I created for the current challenge at A Blog Named Hero. The theme of the challenge is Cards with a View, so I used the Small Tag Frame Cuts to create a window on the front of my card.
The Large Flower Background was colored using Distress Ink and Distress Markers. And the sentiment is from the Good Friends clear stamp set.
Thanks for stopping by!

5-minute card challenge
Hi there! Kristina recently challenged herself to see if she could make a card in under 5 minutes and even made a video to document it. Since I haven't had much time for card making these days, I decided that this would be a fun challenge to try.
Just like Kristina, I did a little pre-planning and gathered up a few supplies I would be using. And here's the card I came up with....
It took me just under six minutes to make and I consider that a success! :)
The card is 3.5" x 4.25" which I think helped me out a little bit because I had less space that I felt like I had to fill up. The tag is covered with strips of washi tape and the sentiment is from the Konnichiwa Lantern stamp set.
Jennifer also took on the 5-minute card challenge -- check out her adorable card here!

A Blog Named Hero
Hi! Today I'm here to help celebrate the launch of a new website -- A Blog Named Hero.
Linda and Mary Dawn have created this wonderful new challenge blog that stems from their love of Hero Arts products.
Today is day four of their celebration week and I was thrilled to be asked to create a card using some of my favorite Hero Arts stamps. Here's a peek...
Go check out the full card over at A Blog Named Hero and see what the other guest artists created!
Huge thanks to Linda and Mary Dawn for including me in your new adventure -- I wish you the best of luck! :)
Have a great day!

three things
1. I created this card using the awesome Zig Zag stamp from Hero Arts. My color combo was inspired by this month's color challenge on the Hero Arts Blog.
2. This past month has been quite busy around here...we moved into our new house and just celebrated Lexi's 2nd birthday last weekend.
3. For quite some time now I've been wanting to do some sewing projects. I've done a couple smaller things and think I'm finally ready to tackle my first quilt. Feeling a bit overwhelmed about where to start. Any advice from some of you sewing experts out there? :)
Hope you are having a great week!
