Sending Caring Thoughts

Hello!  Today I have a very simple sympathy card to share with you.

I have to admit that this is one type of card that I usually buy.  But with this Hero Arts stamp set...I now have the perfect sentiments to use.  I also used my favorite Classic Fabric Design to create the clear embossed background on kraft.

Have a great day!

Hello

Hi there!  Here's a quick card I managed to whip up this morning using some scraps left over from my card that is up on the Hero Arts Blog today.

Love those typewriter letters from this Hero Arts set! And that teal floral paper is one of my favorites from this new Basic Grey paper pad.

Thanks for stopping by and hopefully I'll be back soon with more to share!

Gray is the New Black

Hi there!  Just popping in real quick to share a card I created for the Gray is the New Black Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

First, I white embossed the Circle Lace image on some gray Basic Grey paper.  Then I stamped over the top with the Antique Writing image using Pumice Stone Distress Ink.  The sentiment is from the new Sending Smiles Message clear stamp set.  And I finished the card off with some twine from The Twinery and a cute little gray heart button.

Have a great day! :)

Hello

I don't decorate the insides of my cards very often...and it's mostly because I am a very slow card maker.  By the time I've spent several hours on the front of the card, I'm ready to call it quits. ;)  But the January challenge theme over on the Hero Arts Blog motivated me to give it a shot.  I thought a window card would a perfect solution, so here's what I came up with...

Lots of Hero Arts stamps going on here...Music Background, Blossom Art and Live Life.  I love the font used for the word "hello"...can you imagine a whole set of sentiments using this font?...yum! ;)

Have a great day! :)

Happy New Year!

I finally got a chance to play with some new Hero Arts stamps this morning and created this very quick and simple card.

I stamped the Envelope Pattern image with white ink on kraft paper for the card base. And the sentiment is from the Thank You For Being My Friend clear stamp...LOVE this set, great sentiments and love the typewriter font.

I'm really excited to start this Monthly Photo Project I came across on Rebecca Cooper's blog.  Since all my photos have become digital, I've really struggled with a way organize my photos in such a way that my family can enjoy them.  I rarely print any photos...they are all just sitting on my computer or on DVD's.  This project seems very manageable and that really appeals to me.  I think I can handle one page a month...I may even spread it out to a two-page spread per month.  And then at the end of the year I'll print all of them in a photo book.  It really makes me happy to think of having a shelf lined with these books in my living room to pull out at any time.

Do you have any New Years resolutions that you are excited about?  I'd love to hear.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Hero Arts Blog Hop

Hi!  Welcome to my stop on the 2011 Hero Arts Catalog Blog Hop!  I am thrilled to share some cards with you that feature some amazing new stamps from Hero Arts.

This first card features the gorgeous Classic Fabric Design (CG245) background image...this stamp is definitely a favorite of mine and has already seen lots of love. :)  I stamped it using aqua acrylic paint and I love the result.  The texture, the subtle lines left from the paintbrush...love it!  The sentiment label is from another new clear set called Congrats (CL488).  It comes with three decorative labels and four different sentiments that fit inside.

This next card features two new clear stamp sets.  The first one is called Find Joy (CL497) and includes a bunch of fun mixed-font sentiments.  And the second set is called Blossom Art (CL495).  It contains 6 different floral images that are perfect for coloring, paper-piecing or just creating a tone-on-tone background like I've done with my card.

There are lots of great prizes up for grab!  All you have to do is leave a comment on any of the 24 participating blogs.  The more comments you leave the more chances you have to win! :)  And remember, if you find a link that doesn't work, you can always hop back to the Hero Arts Blog for a list of direct links to all the blogs in the hop.

Your next stop on the hop is the super talented Sheri Reguly.

Thanks for stopping by! :)
