Thank You Cards

Hi everyone!  Just a quick post to share a couple cards I made for the Paper Crafts Gallery Idol 2010 contest.  The top 20 finalists will be announced on Friday and there are so many amazing cards in the gallery.  If you are looking for a little inspiration be sure to check it out!

The first card using this yummy stamp from Hero Arts and the sentiment is from this set. I also used some patterned paper from My Mind's Eye and this fabulous EK Success border punch.

And for this next card I used lots of Hero Arts stamps as well as some Polka Dots from Papertrey Ink.  I stamped the Bird Garden image with white ink on kraft cardstock and then filled it in with colored pencils.

And now for something non-stamping related...I just wanted to share what I got for Mother's Day.  I've been wanting one these Vintage Pearl necklaces for quite some time.  I love the handmade one-of-a-kind feel it has.  They have so many adorable designs to choose from, but I chose this one with the initial of each of my kiddos.

My little boy, Gage, turns two on Friday, so I've been busy getting things ready for his party on Saturday.  Since two of the kids are napping now, I suppose I better get off this computer and be a little more productive. ;)

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Paper Crafts Challenges

Hi there!  I've actually had a little free time to do some card-making this week, so I decided to enter a couple of challenges that Paper Crafts magazine currently has going on.

The first card is for the Paper Crafts Go-To Sketch Challenge #3.  This is probably one of the quickest cards I have made in a long time.

And this second card is for the Moxie Fab World Fun with Fabric Challenge.  I wasn't too sure about this color combo, but it's kinda growing on me now.

Hope you all have a great day and get a chance to do some crafting!  :)

May Caardvarks Challenge

Hi there!  It's time for another challenge at Caardvarks!  This  month, Tiffany Doodles is the sponsor and Heidi Van Laar has created some fun sketches for us to use.

Here's one of my cards I made that use some of the adorable DoodleBlooms images.  I colored them in Photoshop and then printed on some text paper.

Be sure to check out all the amazing cards made by the Caardvarks Crew in the Caardvarks Flickr Gallery.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great one! :)

Happy Monday!

Hi there!  What a gorgeous Monday!  Even though I've got a ton of stuff to get done inside, I just could help but get out for a little while today.  We played in the sand, rode bikes and went to Library... now 2 of the 3 kiddos are sleeping peacefully. :)

I'm so excited to be hosting the Hero Arts Blog this week.  All of the cards I'll be sharing this week use punches in some fun ways.  There is also a new contest theme up for May....check it out here.

Since I'm focusing on punches this week, I thought I'd share a few of my favorites with you.  I just LOVE EK Success punches.  They have great designs and seem to punch though thicker paper than other punches I have.

Corner Chomper (I have Jennifer to thank for this one...she's such a good enabler) ;)

This list could go on and on, but those are some of my favorites right now.

And since it just doesn't feel right to post without sharing a card...here is one that I created a while back.  The sentiment is from this must have set from Hero Arts.  And the border punch used is another one of my favs (it's this one...and is a great price too).

I'll be back on Wednesday with a new challenge at Caardvarks.
Have a great day!

I'm Still Here...

Hi everyone!  Wow...it's been a long time since I've posted.  Seems like whenever I sit down at the computer, I'd rather spend my time reading other people's blogs, than writing on my own.  You all seem to have way more interesting things to talk about/share than I do. ;)

I have a couple cards to share with you that I created a while back and finally got around to taking pics of them.  This first one is a baby thank you I made...wanted to keep it pretty simple and easy to mass-produce since I made several of these.  Lots of Hero Arts goodies here...including the Raindrop Background stamp which is one of my all time favorite stamps.  I think I could use it on every card I make. :)

And this next card I created for a challenge a while back at Embellish Magazine and never got it submitted in time. More Hero stamps here too...including this great set.

I'm the host at the Hero Arts Blog next week, so I've been busy creating some fun stuff...can't wait to share it with you!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!  And thanks so much for visiting...I'll try to make my posts a little more frequent from now on. ;)
